{118.119/365} For The Record

In case I forget to tell you....I love these eyes...
and these lips, ears and nose.
I love this smile (even when it's cheesy) ...
and these little legs that run, jump, dance and kick!
And these feet? Oh how I love these little feet and toes!
I think it's pretty safe to say I love everything about this almost 2 year old (18 days, but who's counting?)!

{117/365} Misery Loves Company

Because Aiden's ear infection and other infection weren't enough, I finally decided to ask someone to listen to my lungs after I thought I was going to die on the elliptical today. I honestly thought my right lung was going to explode...or that I was having a heart attack. That bronchitis? It's now walking pneumonia. I knew I let it go too long and was having to use the inhaler way too much. Hopefully the new, more powerful antibiotics will work quickly.

These pictures don't show the face of a sick boy, do they? He is so happy during the day. Night time is still a struggle. Right now he is in his crib...for the first time in 3 days. Sure hope he stays there. I am honestly concerned about how his is suddenly reacting to bath time. It broke my heart tonight hearing him scream. I just hope his little infection clears soon- I'll leave it at that.

The good news is these illnesses are not slowing us down too much. We really aren't miserable. The days are still filled with outside fun and plenty of smiles!

{115.116/365} Random Ramblings

Sunday was a lazy, rainy day. I had to spend most of the afternoon at church. It was hard not to daydream about taking a nap with my boy on such a dreary day. Our gal pal Stephie hung out with us in the evening. We made our own pizza!

Aiden gettin' his scream on!
Aiden with a pizza face. See the huge welt on the right side of his face? That's what happens when he gets bug bites. They don't even have to be mosquitoes. In fact, mosquito bites look worse! Anyone have experience with this? I have tried cortisone, benadryl cream and skin treatment oil. The nannies in the orphanage were putting eucalyptus oil on them. I may need to find some online because he had HUGE bites all over him when I got him and they didn't last this long. Maybe because they were treated with the oil? I don't know but am willing to try anything!
Steph and Aiden played this baseball-like game for close to an hour. It was awesome for me- I got tons of laundry done. I think I have found a mother's helper for the summer! You can see another bite on his back. He also has one on his chest, on the top of his head and behind one ear. He must taste good!
Some people have asked me to post paint pictures. The house is still a disaster but here are some preview pics of the all of the colors. The painting should be finished tomorrow. Everything is done but the living room and dining room (they only have one coat). The entry way on the main floor and the entry way to the garage still need paint. Once everything is done I hope to have everything back in order in oh, a month or two!
The kitchen...I couldn't shoot the full "after" shot because of the 7 foot tree from the living room that's in front of the patio door. The sage green color is continuous through the kitchen, laundry room and bathroom- there are both off the kitchen.
This is the color that will be in the main rooms, entry ways, loft and hallway upstairs. I looked at SO many shades of brown and beige I can't remember the name of the one I chose!
The basement went from white to a very mild and neutral beige. Hard to match teal leather couches!

My bedroom...the paint is called winter cocoa. I think it looks lighter and a little more purple in the pics than IRL.
And finally, the bathroom. The shower curtain isn't back up yet but I picked the paint with that in mind.
Aiden is sitting right next to me as I type this. *SIGH* The second night in a row I put him in bed and he sobbed. Screamed and screamed until I couldn't take it anymore. Dr. Papa checked him out and found fluid in one of his ears and the beginnings of an infection. Poor Aiden also has a yeast infection. The could explain the hysterics that have been happening at bath time. Too bad the antibiotics he started today won't do anything but make that worse! Sure hope the meds kick in soon and my sleeping baby comes back. Momma needs to do her workouts and isn't getting a chance to. I plan to do a workout/weight loss post soon. Waiting until I hit my first major milestone. But I did manage to lose a pound this week even with fewer workouts. Maybe it's the stress? Usually I am a stress eater but between stress with bedtime and massive amounts of stress at school, maybe it is beginning to work in my favor. Please send happy, sleepy thoughts my way!

{114/365} Honesty

Let's be honest- the last two days wiped me out. And I cannot tell a lie. I didn't take a single picture for 2 days. Wait. I did take a few on Thursday with my cell phone. But in the painting chaos I can't find the CD I need to download the pics to my computer. And honestly, I think I may have done a little bit too much throwing away when I cleaned out my old entertainment center. That CD *may* be in the trash.

So I am starting fresh on day 114. To make up for the lack of pictures I took a ridiculous number of them at the park today. And apparently, if I don't take pictures of Aiden for two days, he will cooperate the following day! He actually stopped, looked at the camera and smiled several times! Did I say stop and smile? Or stop and scream...
It was supposed to rain all day today but luckily it didn't and we got an hour of playtime in at the park before our yummy Vietnamese dinner. It started to rain about 15 minutes after we got to the restaurant. We went to a new park today- new to Aiden. I have been there plenty in my past life as a nanny. Aiden loved the "balloon" that towered over the park and all of the castle-like climbing structures. But there was one thing Aiden loved even more about this park.
Do you hear it? Aiden said, "Hear it!"And it's not long before you feel it....a train!
Choo Choo!
The swings were pretty fun too!
At dinner we found out Aiden was in the local Vietnamese magazine. It was a picture from Tet. I am hoping to get a copy of it soon! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

{109.110.111/365} OFF

We are off. No other way to explain it. The house is in disarray from the painting. Tonight I came home and thought I might have a panic attack. And it could very well get worse when they do the living room area. It's huge and will take time. I thought I would post tonight because I am pretty sure I won't have Internet at home at least tomorrow and maybe not until Friday night/Saturday morning. And blogger is blocked at work (not that I would *ever* consider posting at work :D). Might not be a bad thing to be Internet free for a day or two. Just wanted to let everyone know we are alive. Sleep deprived but alive.

Aiden has been off. Could be the changes with the house, more likely due to two year molars. I thought he had started cutting them earlier. I was wrong. So wrong. After I posted Sunday night I did get in bed by 10. Thank goodness because Aiden was up from 3:30 to about 5:40 in the morning. He fell back asleep about 5 minutes before I had to get up for work. And last night was rough. Aiden sobbed in his crib for a good half hour before I got him and brought him to bed with me. Even with a dose of benadryl he was up until 10:30. So I am exhausted. I am pretty sure he is too.

He has still been happy most of the time. We've had some fun at Gram and Papa's house and ate dinner there on Monday and Tuesday.

Hiding from Papa on the screened in porch. That screen didn't protect him from the water! He was shocked and thrilled to get wet!
Who's that in the window?
Gram!Tonight at Gymb0ree was Playdate with a Purpose. SO.MUCH.FUN! I am so glad there was some structure tonight at playgym. We both needed it and it was for a great cause!"Working on the Railroad" with Miss Melissa and his buddy AG. They are so cute together.
Jump!
Tonight we did the dance the "big kids" do. Aiden had a blast and danced his heart out. He was hilarious. Had me in tears from laughing so hard. And instead of taking pictures I put the camera down and joined him. No doubt about it, the dancing will be the highlight of my week.
